You can't be a true Ohioan without trying Swensons!
I never realized how much I loved Swensons until I moved to Florida years ago and wasn't able to go and grab a Double Cheeseburg or a galley boy and a Regular Milkshake from here! Their burgers are ALWAYS delicious, fresh ingredients, and I don't know what they use to make them taste different from everywhere else, but whatever it is, it's amazing.
The price for their Potato Teezers is a bit expensive in my opinion, but it's well worth it! They have little piece of chopped up jalapeños in them and I’m someone who hates spicy food but these, dipped in ranch are something you absolutely can't go to Swensons and not try!
This order was my first time trying their Fish Dinner and I will have to say, I wasnt very impressed with this dish in particular. It comes with 2 kinda thin, fried, fish filets and 2 pieces of "toast" and I thought it was a pretty small portion for what they call a "Fish Dinner". I expect a "dinner" to come with a side or 2, but this dish only comes with the 2 filets and the toast is just a hamburger bun that they throw on the grill for a couple seconds and if they slapped some butter on it at all, i definitely couldn't tell. I would still order the Fish Dinner again though.
I can't say the same for the fried mushrooms though, which I tried one of and had to spit in the trash.
I have a picture of them with my review, but can't find in my items ordered to tag. I would not recommend getting these. They were soggy, and slimy inside, which I guess I should have figured with mushrooms that they might be wet inside but it was not appetizing.
On the bright side, I tried their Floats for the first time as well, root beer float to be specific, and it was perfect frothy without too much foam, ice cream wasn't completely melted, it definitely salvaged the meal for this time!
So to sum up my recommendation, I give them a 2/5 for this meal, but with every other time I have gone to them they have been so consistent at every location, that I can't give them less than a 4/5! Just stick with any kind of burger or sandwich and their Potato Teezers, French Fries or onion rings and their Regular Milkshakes or Floats and you will be extremely satisfied every single time, I guarantee it!
