Sy's Pizza began in 1978 when Sy Zeer moved to Eugene from New York to start his local business and provide single-slice pizza to the city. 45 years later, Sy's continues to provide both individual sl…
I haven't eaten Sy's pizza in years because it's on the other side of town... glad I got a hankering because the pizza was even better than remembered. We ordered a Sy's classic deep dish slice & NY style cheese pizza. Both were excellent! The sauce on the deep dish was plentiful and delicious. The thick crust has a great bite. The New York style is substantial, big thick slices of thin crust pizza. Thick and thin? Yes, it's possible! Do yourself a flavor and avoid 94% of the pizza places in Eugene. Will definitely order from Sy's next time pizza calls.

We got the neopolitan 18in pepp with olives, onion, and mushrooms. It was one of the best pizzas I've ever had! Sy's never disappoints. Highly recommend the combo. Thank you to the Za artists working there🙌

Took nearly two and a half hours, dasher said he was told the first pizza was burnt and needing to be remade. The separate slice we ordered was tiny (for $6) but was burnt black and completely inedible - even the toppings couldn't be picked off and eaten. The whole thing had to be tossed. The pizza was incorrect. Everyone has an off night once in a while, but this isn't the first time. The quality has really gone downhill recently.

The pizza itself was very good. Large as well. I added jalapeños to it. And sadly it looks like they were added just by throwing them on top and heating them up a little. So they did no have that nice baked flavor and they constantly fell off since they were not sunken in to the cheese during cooking. It seems trivial. But jalapenos are way better when cooked with the rest of the toppings on the pizza. It would have been perfect with that. But the pizza itself was still good and made well. I enjoyed it!
