• 7/31/24Almost the whole bowl was a giant bone. Barely any stew, and one piece of actual meat. Ive had egusi from every available restaurant in austin and ive never been to one that doesnt serve some type of fufu with the dish. They dont make that clear or i wouldve added it. Im disappointed with the meal. It wasnt worth the order. I wish I wouldve waited to treat myself at another nigerian restaurant.

• 7/11/25The egusi soup looks good but the melon seed had a very bad aftertaste. There was a good portion of beef but it was really tough. I hate complaining on small businesses but I saw that someone else mentioned the bad aftertaste and I'm hoping to save others the money or that the restaurant makes some improvements.

• 4/23/26I cook my own Nigerian dishes by myself trying to replicate the taste of home. Most times I am not successful. Ever since I ordered from this restaurant because a friend wanted to try fufu and egusi, I also ordered jollof just to try it out. Chaii, it was goood! It tasted like home jollof. I really love how they make everything. I have ordered their ogbono soup also and it's really good!

• 6/20/24I grew up with my mother and grandmother cooking me Nigerian food all the time before i left to college, so I wanted to try this place out! I would have to say.....very underwhelming :/ the food had flavor but it was still so bland to me. The Goat Meat and Whole Tilapia & Dodo were covered more in oil than the red sauce. The Goat Meat also came with only 2 pieces for $6 which is a little overpriced in my opinion. The Ogbono & Swallow was good but the flavoring was a little off for me cuz they cooked the base with the turkey. It gave off a bitter taste for me unfortunately. Although, the turkey is personal preference, so if you don't mind it then hopefully you will like it! Overall I dont think I will be coming back to eat here, hopefully you find better luck with this place than I did!!
