This is an amazing hidden gem.  Intimate and quietly nestled on the boarder of the city and the county my brother and I stopped in for a bite after I had been driving past it for about 6 months.  Let me tell you, there is LOVE put into this food.  Very traditional, you feel like you went into your grandma's, your abuelita's kitchen.  The restaurant is clean and brightly decorated.  I felt transported away as we stepped in. We were no longer just in Baltimore county, I felt surrounded by pain trees and a warm ocean breeze.

We got the Horchata which was deliciously fresh and quite frankly the best I've ever tasted.  All the flavors balanced well and it wasn't too sweet.  Absolutely made from scratch on a daily basis.  I got the quesadilla de camarones 🍤 and it was huge and fresh and delicious.  I won't go anywhere else anymore.  The best I've ever had.  The right balance of cheese, spices and shrimp. And you could tell that EVERYTHING was made fresh and in-house.  Even the tortilla chips, that were complimentary, while we waited were freshly made there, not store bought.  The plátanos with frijoles and crema was like heaven in my mouth.  And the young man who took our order and served us was just sweet, kind, attentive and warm.  It was really like coming home when you've been gone for a long time and they make you a meal that says, we missed you, we love you, welcome home!  Please, don't take my word for it, stop in and try it yourself.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! ☺️

La sopa de gallina tenía buen sabor, pero si eres salvadoreño no esperes encontrar la sopa tradicional con verduritas . No sé si porque en otras partes la hacen diferente pero a esta no le ponen ni tomate para el color . De verduras solo trae un pedacito de papa, un pedacito de zanjoria y un pedacito de chayote. Todo lo demás es agua, y en un contenedor pequeño viene cebolla con cilantro y limón . Le da buen sabor , pero como dije , si eres salvadoreño no llevará tus espectativas . La yuca con chicharrones, estaba rica pero en la descripción del platillo dice que la yuca viene sancochada, y en realidad te ha hacen frita. La verdad , si ordenó en otra ocasión será para probar los tacos . Pero la sopa de gallina no .

The Chicharrones fried were perfect ! Nice and crispy. Flavorful and soft on the inside . The Pupusa unit was cold and hard so I didn't eat it . My issue was the Res / Beef . I was debating on whether to get the Res / Beef  or the chicken soup and based off the ingredients listed ,I made my choice ! The main difference for me was the vegetables. The chicken came with potatoes and did not have corn and that's why I decided to go with the Res / Beef . To my surprise not only was there a completely uncut potato in my soup but there wasn't any corn and one piece of zucchini. The vegetables were extra large taking up most of the bowl leaving two little pieces of beef in broth surrounded by cabbage.  Why list ingredients if they're incorrect! For the price of the soup I am extremely disappointed! I would only order the Chicharrones fried  again.

The Birria was simply amazing and a larger portion than expected! Also ordered the Tipico mix. No complaints whatsoever.  Never leave reviews,  but this is warranted.  5 stars
