The Spicy Shrimp Burrito and peanut salsa are about as close to perfection as anything on earth can ever come close to. The shrimp are plump and fresh and flavorful. The peanut salsa is HOT. SO HOT. It's beautiful. Definitely my favorite burrito in town.

This review is specifically for the tamales. They were the most incredibly flavorful, tender, addictive Banana Leaf Tamales that I've ever had. I was in search of high quality and authentic tasting tamales and they definitely delivered.

To us, this is very "North Americanized" Mexican food.
The Spicy Shrimp Burrito was not at all spicy, and the spicy peanut salsa was either left out or indiscernible. It was a fresh and good sized burrito. Just not at all spicy or even flavorful.
The nachos were again, generous, with plenty of toppings and ample queso sauce. They were even tasty. We prefer our nachos without meat, so we wish they'd offer that option.
Also, for two good sized entrees, two tiny (one roja, one verde) side sauces are simply not enough. Both meals needed a lot more flavor assist.
We would liken Taqueria el burrito to a fresh ingredients, much better quality and portions Taco Bell.
