• 8/11/23Literally the most delicious mashed potatoes I've ever had. They're buttery, savory, and creamy. I highly recommend them. Portion sizes for the stews/curries are always worth the price. BEWARE that the to go plate will be LOADED UP. SPILLING OVER. If u can't handle that, that's on u, I love it. Tender meat on the ribs, well seasoned. Stewed vegetables are tender too. The fish was delicious and tasted amazing. The veggies in the fish stew were slightly sweet and soft and melt on your tongue. Perfectly cooked chickpeas too.
The one and only criticism I have is that it is stew so it's wet and the take out container is probably some kind of recycled cardboard type. It got soggy and broke a bit by the time we got to eating, so @ Taste Of Bim maybe switch over to some kind of plastic takeout container? Will probably be fine if you're getting delivered to in Eureka, but Arcata may be too far.
Other than that, it's worth the price. Great comfort food.

• 8/16/24So, I ordered the "Beer Battered Fish and Chips" The reason it's in quotes is because I did not know what I received. What I got was a soggy, greasy, burnt, smelly mess. First off everything I got was burnt. It looked like they never change their oil. The "chips" were burnt and hard slices of potato. The "beer battered fish" was stinky, the skin or batter was burnt and falling off, there was no discernible difference between the skin or batter. The grease was dripping through the box it came in. I threw it right in the garbage. Ive never done that before. I was disgusted. I will never order from them again. They should be ashamed.

• 9/14/25The ribs tasted alright. Not bad. I was just disappointed in the portion  size. It came with 5 ribes. A salad which was spinach, carrot, and cucumber. Kinda bland :(. And the fries were burnt. I normally can get down with it but they just didn't taste good.

• 7/8/22I loved the doubles. I loved that in my sample plate order they were willing to substitute the plantains and veggies for extra jerk wings and cod fritters. I loved the baked whole fish in secret sauce that I had with a side of fries and sautéed veggies. The bread pudding with rum sauce topped with vanilla ice cream I had at home for dessert was delicious. I have two criticisms: I had to call two different phone numbers to confirm that my Door Dash order was received by the restaurant and it took them 1.5 hours to finishing preparing it for my arrival. They are extremely understaffed with just one cook, what looked like maybe a cook in training/server/busser, and one hostess/server/busser seating customers plus taking online orders and call-ins. They were very backed up, but the staff was kind and the food was worth the wait.
