• 11/29/25My wife is Trini and so my in-laws are first generation Trinidadian immigrants who make some of the best Trini dishes I've ever had. So you can get imagine my excitement to learn that a restaurant serving authentic Trini food had returned to the area. My wife used to eat here when it was the original Teddy's and was also excited to have some good old home food. But I was extremely disappointed when I opened the container to see very small portions of oxtails and rice. The meat was tough and the sauce was very oily. Next I tried the doubles. The Chana had a very tasty sauce however they were a bit undercooked and hard. Not at all tender or creamy as I had expected. The curry chicken was lost in the sauce . Finally I got to the main event, the shark & 2. Fried Bake and Shark. It was dry and resembled minced shark not the filet that I was hoping to find. And lastly the bake itself was too hard and chewy. Overall I have to give it a 3 out of 5 forks, a hard pass but I would give Teddy's a second chance. Maybe it was just a one off and not typical of their quality. But the prices were very expensive considering the portion sizes. The meat dishes need more meat to be a decent value. Ultimately good flavors but mediocre presentation and preparation.
Ps. I didn't even get my 1. Sorrel. Bummer.

• 6/13/26Truly an authentic shop. I've yet to be disappointed by Teddy Roti Shop. The 1. Doubles is A+++. 7. Curry Goat Roti Wrap reminds me of my childhood in the Caribbean.

• 7/12/26Unfortunately the good was very bland and lacked seasoning and flavor. Both the oxtails and curry chicken were flavorless. The oxtails were very fatty and made everything great, the rice and peas, and the cabbage were tough. The curry chicken was unseasoned but very saucy. I tried adding salt and hot sauce to help. It did not help. The plantains were overcooked but tasted very sweet. The buss up skin was very good and buttery and flakey. It was the only thing I enjoyed. I was told about this spot from some good locals and the reviews. Unfortunately I will not be ordering from here again.

• 12/20/25Aloo pie tasted so good and fresh, portions was good too. Teddy's is becoming a fave for Authentic Trini food - would order again.
