The Thursday rib plate was amazing. The ribs were very fresh and juicy with the meat just falling off the bone. The cream cheese pound cake is delicious, soft and moist. The best homemade I have had in a while. The sides were good as well, I had the jambalaya and green beans. Chef's kiss.......

Everything was so delicious. The fried Fried Tripe was tender and seasoned just right even the fries were seasoned just right. The Fried Riblets were delicious as well. Fried just right now to hard, the flavor was delicious. The Shrimp Po-boy was delicious. We will be ordering from here again.

My husband and I had TeePees for the first time. The food is cooked right to order, there are daily specials, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Mr. Tony who owns and runs the business is one of the kindest, humble, most respectable men I’ve met around Hammond. He heightened our experience by his friendliness, kindness, generosity, and smile. Would enjoyed our patty melts, buffalo wings, and his homemade cream cheese pound cake. We will definitely be visiting again and we highly recommend for an easy, quick, tasty, and humbling experience!!

The Potato Salad was the star of this order! Awesome! I should have ordered 3 more. Porkchop sandwich was too salty, probably better by itself. My Half Shrimp/Half Fried Fish was good but i forgot to asked for tartar sauce and ketchup.. and for the first time, noted, i had more seafood than fries. Love the home cook goodness of this place. Thumbs up. Will order again

I'm not mad, just disappointed.
Reviews for this place were good, and I admit I may have hit them on an off day. The wings and the fried chicken I ordered had super dark crust and had that bitterburn taste that happens when you leave dark bits in your frying oil.
The fries were soggy and pale when they arrived, but they were seasoned well.
I also noticed that almost all of my food was taken directly out of the fryer and placed into Styrofoam to-go containers, causing the Styrofoam to melt and stick to some of my food. I wish more restaurants would pay attention to this.
Funnel cakes were good - sweet and had a nice chew to them and the fish was flavorful and had a great fish fry crust, and portion size was adequate. The best of my order though was the fried shrimp - seasoned well, butterflied, and perfectly cooked.
May give this place another try next time I'm in the mood for some fried food but I'll probably skip the fried chicken.
