• 6/29/23We've left several reviews before, but feel the need to leave another one because this place is so great and anyone who likes this type of food should know, love it, and support it like we do!
Will first start with the staff - they have such a great team of employees. They get orders right 99% of the time. This says a LOT about them and the mgmt that trained them. Really can't say that about many places in LA. Order accuracy is super consistent, even down to the small things like the # of sauces you want, or special modifications like "no pickles". The little things matter! Plus, if you call them about an order, to update/modify etc. they are always so nice and helpful on the phone, not rude LA jerks. No bad attitudes! It's a breath of fresh air.
The food - is AMAZING! Super high quality across the board. There really is no bad dish on their menu, and the ingredients are TOP NOTCH. (I hope someone there is reading this cuz plz guys, dont ever change anything!) The burgers are obviously great, but other items we repeat order all the time are:
the All-Natural Beef Chili - Cup , which is hands down some of the best chili in the country (we travel a lot). All beef, no beans (thank you for that counter! not everyone likes their chili riddled with beans wasting space on what could be the excellent quality BEEF and sauce!) with such a great taste, and a slight kick. Its not "bold", its just super tasty, and even some little pieces of tomato so u know they didn't just use some pre-made paste. 10/10
Then the Chicken Tenders - also 10/10! Totally white meat ckn breast tenderloins, no particlized weird chicken, with weird fatty parts or purple pieces, which we call mystery meat in our household lol. Plus, the southern style buttermilk peppered breading is so good. Not too thick, not too thin. Just PERFECT.
The Fried Onion Strings are divine! Ratio of onion to breading is perfect. And dipped in the sauces just takes it up an extra notch because all their sauces are amazing too! The buttermilk ranch is one of the best we've had, the BBQ is great, and the Nashville hot is unreal too! (Def hot tho so be careful haha)
The Side Shoestring Fries are awesome. They're just how they say, shoestring, so they are very thin, but they reheat well in a toaster oven so have no fear ordering it for takeout, cuz even if it arrives cold, you can totally resurrect them. Even a frying pan works. Just no micro!
And although we didn't order any on this round, the shakes are to die for. So so good.
So there you have it. A detailed review from one of CB's longest time, biggest fans. We supported them before the pandemic, even more so DURING the pandemic (thanks for being there for us isolated at home, fam!) and of course after the pandemic and for years to come. We hope this chain never goes away. We'd literally cry and be distraught.

• 6/6/26The Counter via DD 2-for-1 special on Honey Dijon Chicken burgers is amazing!!! We always add in a Parmesan Fries and BBQ Chicken Salad. Those 4 items can feed a full family and it all tastes delicious. We've been in-person customers of The Counter for almost 2 decades. Is that possible? Wow. We love their food and friendly + accurate service. One suggestion: We should be able to request Ketchup from the DoorDash menu, without having to call in. The Counter is worth it, both in person and from DD. Enjoy!

• 4/11/26Sprouted Veggie 2 for 1 price was an excellent deal!! Hadn't tasted that before and will definitely order again!! Nice to have a veggie option on occasion. We added the shoestring fries to each, which arrived sad and lifeless. We live so close, how could they be cold already? Nuked them for a hot minute but were done. Hot tip: Burger and fries place packed zero ketchup with their delivery. They've turned off the feature that allows you to add notes to order. If you want ketchup, you'll have to call them directly! This place is solid for what we got.

• 4/8/24I order this all the time and have never had a problem. The hamburger was smaller than usual and the condiments were sparse, except for the avocado. This is not a cheap burger. Thanks for the previous orders I will not be ordering again.
