My new favorite Vegan Soul Food spot!! FINALLY!! To be fair, I only had the Green Ape Soul Plate so far to kinda sample each of everything: the greens were phenomenal and they have a lil kick to them, the sweet potatoes were yummy and they kept those adjacent to the mac n cheese (iykyk) so they holy trinity of soul food was done right!! I had the fried fish which I believe was heart of palms and it was So good. Everything was flavorful & the presentation is highly appreciated!! The price is a bit scary but its 2026, hopefully they'll have a few deals throughout the year. Looking forward to trying their oxtail & more; HAPPY JUNETEENTH!!!

I am speachless!! Everything is amazing I am so happy to finally have FIRE vegan birria in the Loop and the lasagna ?! As you can see it's also fuego. All veggies are fresh and meals for sure can be split!! S/O Chef Bri for helping the loop go ku!

I really want to like this place so much and reading reviews on here and other sites state this is a favorite. Portions are fine, but couldn't tell if any of it was fresh because our order was like eating a salt brick, and no exaggeration, it felt like they poured the salt on everything instead of sprinkling it on. We had the lions mane sandwich, tacos, fried mushroom app and the mac and cheese. All of it was so heavily salted it was unbearable. Let the flavor of the food shine through. Why hide behind salt? It was also way too saucy. That means the chef can't stand behind their cooking and food prep, so drown it in salt and sauce to hide the imperfection. I'm afraid to try again. I wish there was an option to hold the salt and sauce so I can actually taste the food. Maybe they had an off day and food prep person made a mistake, but I'll wait it out so they can work on their food prep more since they are new.
