The Independent has been one of my go-to restaurants for years. Maple buffalo wings, bangers and mash, the burger and the fried chicken sandwich are great! Their cocktails and beer selection are pretty solid if you visit in person.

The Herb Roasted Statler Chicken Breast had great flavor, but was overcooked significantly on one side making the underside a lot more chewy than I wanted. The sprouts that came with them were underseasoned/undersalted. Probably a kitchen snafu.
The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich was similarly less than perfect, with no pickles and barely any sauce on it. Slaw was also just dry cabbage. I liked the dressing on the mixed greens quite a bit.
The hummus was good!
I've had a lot of good meals at this restaurant. I guess they might have been slammed or otherwise down staff that would make the pressure of a DoorDash order require sending out less than their best. I recommend eating in here if you can, even though this meal wasn't the best this go-round.

Worst food ever. Mac and Mac & Cheese was very bland and the Buttermilk Fried Calamari was not seasoned well and the sauce it came with tasted weird. Save ur money

Theres only a half handful of lettuce in the box- dont order this 8$ box of leaves

The food was definitely a decent quality. Indo poutine was delicious, wish there was more gravy. Maple buffalo wings were just buffalo wings. The tiniest hint of some sweetness you couldn't tell was maple and didn't balance out the heat. Could have been cooked a little more/crispier. Still good, though I would like to see those changes. 10yr old liked the kids cheeseburger and chicken fingers.
