We just ordered the Butter Masala, Saag, Chicken Biryani, Garlic Naan. All fantastic, hot, aromatic, spicy, flavorful, tender. Finally we have a go to place near us for Indian food. The only note was the Mango Lassi was too sweet and thick for my taste, but I don't like sweets and desserts. I can't wait to to try every on the Desi menu.

I had previously left a review because the chicken quantity in the biryani was disappointing. I’m happy to update my feedback after my latest order. This time the chicken biryani was excellent, with a generous quantity of chicken pieces and good overall quality. It’s great to see that customer feedback is being taken seriously. Thank you for the improved experience—keep up the good work!

Okkkk.... so it may not LOOK appetizing BUT I AM DEFINITELY going to order from here again! I was having a craving for Indian cuisine and it hit the spot. I had the goat Saag and it was delicious! The GOAT meat was tender and even after letting it cool down was still very tasty. The food did take a while to get to me, not sure if that delay was due to traffic or what but my food was still hot. The Garlic Naan does not disappoint. It's great. Real minced garlic and herbs. Portion size looked little but definitely enough for at least 2-3 meals if g you eat it with the rice and Garlic Naan.

The chicken is always moist and flavorful; the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani (24oz) is a favorite, the best chicken biryani in Houston, and reasonably priced. The Spicy Masala Noodle - Regular Pack are good, but a little too spicy for my old age. I would've liked them more when I was younger. The Butter Naan is a surprising miss; it's weird that the Monks gets the hard stuff right and the easy stuff so wrong. I didn't like the cumin lamb.

I had a great meal sitting down at Monk's Westheimer and Monk's Pearland, so it was a disappointment to order from the closer Monk's Heights and get identically named dishes that had completely different recipes.
Chicken Tikka Masala was watery and mild, and didn't have the bell peppers or thickness or savory level of spice that the Pearland version had.
Spicy Masala Noodle - Regular was alright, but was a smaller portion and not as addictive as what I got from Westheimer. I wouldnt get it again.
Gully was spicy fried chicken nuggets. B+, never had it before, probably won't order again.
Monk's Special Momo we got the tandoor chicken version. The outside was pleasantly spiced and the meat to wrapping ratio was much higher than other cuisine's dumplings. But I think I would rather just get tikka.
The Plain Naan was fine, and unexceptional other than being an unusually good value at $2 for something larger than my head.
I will give credit for all the chicken being relatively moist, which is a huge problem for Indian takeout. And the rice was good. I'll order from Westheimer next time.
