• 8/18/26The Southern (Chai-Ya) just topped my all time favorite pad Thai from a food truck on Kauai and that is no small feat, I have searched high and low for a competitive dish for years and of course it would be this small unassuming food stand in Pacific Beach that would take its well earned place at the top. Absolutely delicious food being made here and I appreciate the effort 10/10

• 1/12/26Egg was overcooked and too fried almost burnt...noodles were extremely mushy and over cooked. Portion size is great! Would be better if there was more shrimp portions For paying an extra +$2 for shrimp. Would still come again however inconsistent with cooking and protein provided.

All of our pad Thai are served with the following basic ingredients: Gluten-free rice noodles, house pad Thai sauce (standard or ayutthaya), sliced green onions, raw bean sprouts on the side. Important note: Please specify food needs (example: vegan) or allergies in the customer notes/comments. All food will be cooked on shared surfaces/with shared utensils, albeit these are cleaned.
