I ordered three acai bowls through DoorDash. One was a regular Acai Bowl, and my oldest daughter and I both ordered the Acai Bowl with Nutella. The menu description explicitly states: “Acai base, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, banana, coconut, granola, chia seeds, honey drizzle, and Nutella drizzle.” The photo also clearly shows the Nutella drizzled on top.
My daughter’s Acai Bowl with Nutella was prepared exactly as advertised. Mine was not.
When I brought it back inside, I was first told the Nutella was “underneath.” Then the manager told me they “don’t do that anymore” because the Nutella makes the lid slide off. However, my daughter’s bowl from the exact same order had the Nutella drizzled on top exactly as advertised. I was then told the employee “probably forgot.”
If your preparation has changed, that’s your decision. But if you no longer serve the Acai Bowl with Nutella with a Nutella drizzle on top, then update the menu description and photos. Don’t advertise “honey drizzle and Nutella drizzle” in the description and show it in the picture, then act surprised when a customer expects the product to match what they ordered.
What disappointed me most wasn’t the missing Nutella drizzle ...it was how the situation was handled. There was no apology for the confusion or acknowledgment that the advertised product didn’t match what I received. A simple, “You’re right. Let me fix that,” would have resolved the entire situation. Instead, I was repeatedly given explanations that didn’t match what was sitting right in front of us. That’s not the level of customer service I expected.
To make matters worse, when I got home, the açaí base in my bowl was watery with liquid pooling at the bottom instead of being thick like an açaí bowl should be. Between the inaccurate presentation, the dismissive response when I questioned it, and the poor quality of the bowl itself, this was a very disappointing experience.

My sunrise sunset did not taste very good. It was very clumpy as if it wasn't all the way blended.
