As a Detroit native with high BBQ standards, Uptown is elite. The Rib Tips (Pint) Dinner are incredibly tender and the BBQ Fries are 10/10. The portions are large (one order easily fed two of us) and everything arrived hot and on time. We were so busy eating I almost forgot to take a photo! If you want flavorful, soulful BBQ, this is the spot.

This BBQ chicken dinner with BBQ fries and Mac N Chz was amazing. The dinner was enough for 2. The chicken was tender and the sauce is the best. Mac n chz was creamy cheesy and a little spicy from blk pepper but still really good.

WOW! I was so happy with my food that I stopped half way through to write this review. I have been searching for good BBQ in Detroit and finally I have hope. I am so happy I got 3 different BBQ'ed items because I was able to appreciate the diverse flavors of all 3 things. Your average BBQ place will have all their items taste the same, but not Uptown BBQ. The ribs had such a smoky flavor. The chicken had extra sweetness. And the BBQ Fries had strong notes of apple cinnamon that I loved! The BBQ fries were a great portion size being a side for the Rib & Chicken Dinner. The ribs were good but very thin. I hope next time I order, there's a little more meat on the bones. The chicken was the star, so moist, such a great sauce. Incredible! The $2 Pepsi was a bottle of Pepsi which was a pleasant surprise. I expected a can, that's cheap for DoorDash prices. Finally the Mac and Cheese, it was a really good mac and cheese that was made from scratch, with a roux that is seasoned properly. Very cheesy. I can't wait to order again!

Haven't made a purchase from Uptown in over a year,they have improved with this order for me.Food portion was very ample,taste was flavorable and fresh, ribs were meaty with good smoke and Bar-B-Q quality. Cold slaw was different with dill herb seasoning, but I went from not really liking it to really enjoying it. My meal reminded me of how good rib joints used to be back in the day when Uptown was on Davison. Keep it up and I will order again.
