Always delish! Love love this place! Best Tonkotsu Ramen, best bone marrow, the Wakai Signature Ribs are unbelievable! You won't be disappointed!

I ordered the Awards Winning Beef Bone Marrow Ramen and honestly, it was disappointing. If you look closely at my pic, there was hardly bone marrow, just some scraps on the side of the bone. And the taste was just okay. I don't get how it's award winning. If it was around $12, I would have thought it's fine, but at around $25, I really expected much much more. I don't like leaving lower than average reviews, but I hope the restaurant can take this constructively and use it as a means to improve.

The tenderness of chashu is very important and this chashu requires some tough bites, it was a bit of a struggle. The bone marrow I added to the dish was an additional $6 and the serving provided wasn't enough to compliment to the dish as a whole because it was very thin. The one bite of it was quite good but I did expect it to be more substantial. I assumed the truffle flavor in Truffle Miso Ramen would be more pronounced but it was very subtle and nearly undetectable. For a ramen named for the truffle and the miso I did expect a bit more of that flavor there. The noodles had a good consistency and chewiness and the toppings were fair although I was hoping for a bit more, the noodles to topping ratio is not the best. The chili oil was very good with a sesame oil base. The egg was lacking a bit of flavor, I usually find them to be a bit sweeter and to taste the mirin marinated in the egg but it was very creamy and cooked well. I would have loved if the $3 for the egg was an additional serving because I prefer for to them come included in ramen and I thought I was adding an extra. I gave a 3 here and not a 4 or a 5 because the taste was good and ingredients are quality, but it's not something I would be craving to order again. I was hoping it would be because I read glowing reviews online before ordering.

ramen smells great but the broth is saltier than expected. wings are juicy and gochujang could be a bit spicier

My favorite is the Awards Winning Beef Bone Marrow Ramen & Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. Lord have mercy, it's beyond words. I boast about this place to all my friends. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
