Everything at Wayside is AMAZING, but I have to specifically mention the chicken salad. This is hands down the absolute best chicken salad in Cville (and that I've ever had in my 33 years of life). I added lettuce, cheese, and bacon to the chicken salad sandwhich (not that the extras were even needed) and it was phenomenal. The bacon was melt in your mouth crispy. Also, honorable mention is the French fries. They're the best kind of fries with that extra crispy coating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Used to love this chicken, but this time the chicken came in a bread thin cardboard wrap, hard skin and tasteless. The collards were too salty and the macaroni salad was not good-too much vinegar. We were so disappointed.
However, we will try again because this may have been a terrible night for them so the second time should be a winner! If not, we will know to try elsewhere.
The Dasher was great, prompt and efficient.

I've known since high school this was the best fried chicken around, but omg those lil fried shrimp are also so tasty! This is also the ONLY mayo-based macaroni salad I ever crave. It's so dang good.

This was my first time trying wayside and it was pretty disappointing. I get that every restaurant has a bad day but the 4 pc tender meal I ordered was overcooked and bland, the collard greens were all stems and the fries were soggy. The banana pudding was instant pudding with a couple of bananas and whipped cream with a couple of wafers on top. I will say that the portion sizes were great, easily two meals in the portion I received. They need to work on the flavor! Overall it was not what I expected and hope it turns out better next time.
