Yamoto is consistently great. I have never had a bad meal there, I ordered the Chirashi sashimi meal. Their meat is the thickest I have ever had. I picked up a slice of salmon and thought I had 2 pieces but it was just one. The Miso Soup has a good balance of miso, seaweed, scallions and tofu.

The nigiri wasn't fresh at all. One pair looked like it went bad so I didn't even eat it. Most of the other nigiri was tough when it's usually like butter. They didn't give me the sauce for my shrimp appetizer. I asked for extra extra ginger and there was just one portion. I usually have a great experience here so I was really disappointed this time around.

The Hibachi Salmon & Steak was very good, I highly recommend it. The only issue I had with it was the rice, it came with plain white rice and not the fried rice at Kobe. The Octopus (Tako) A La Carte was as good as usual.

This was the worst food order that I have ever had. The portion sizes were very small to how they have been in the past and one less type of fish. The fish was not very fresh and I had to spit out most of it. I still have the foul taste in my mouth. Very disappointed, I only was able to eat a couple pieces of the tuna. I need a refund of my money. you have lost this once loyal customer.

The Chirashi was as good as always. I thought it was missing one of the fish, but it was hiding by the rice. This time it that fish also had some masago which was a nice touch.
