This is our favorite place in town. We love coming here with our 2-year old son. Super kid friendly staff, food and environment. Its also my go-to place to celebrate or to find comfort when needed. Favorite dishes (I am vegan): vegan 一清二白湯 Veg Tofu Soup and 青椒炒 豆腐 Fried Tofu w/L.H. Peppers. Ordering right now for a Saturday work day (thus, the comfort required ;) )

Beef w long horn Peppers has become bland, and is sloppy chunks of meat. Chicken udon stir fry was dry and overcooked. And $3 for a tiny white rice and it's not even full. They're really rising this James beard mention from a generous neighbor.

General Gao's Chicken was so spicy it was inedible and had to be thrown away. I requested "No Spicy", but request was completely ignored. The chicken was so tough we couldn't easily cut it. The broccoli consisted of 2 (two) florets. The worst Chinese meal we've ever had. We won't order from Yunnan Kitchen again. A waste of $46.00.

Great quality, not too greasy. Flavors on point. Too much batter on the chicken but it was crispy and delicious. Good lunch deals

I never leave reviews and felt compelled to write this one because since gourmet dumpling house closed, we haven't been able to find a good Chinese restaurant in the city of Boston… This one is it!
