Zero Zero 39 Pizzeria was founded by Francesco and Carlotta Zaza in December of 2014.

Very much a Roman-style pizza Pepperoni and Sausage (Large) was amazing, seasoned beautifully with the sausage having a snap and the bread having a nice sourness from it being proofed for 72 hours.
Truffle Porcini (Large) felt it could add a tad bit more salt, but I see it was meant more for the umami of the porcini with the truffle that they used. The truffles were not overpowering, well balanced.
Will come again, may want to consider a smaller size instead of a large for two people. Unless you are feeding 6 people, a large will be enough.

My first time ordering from here.I got theTruffle Porcini (Large).The bread is out of this world delicious. The topping,to me, has no flavor. I was excited to have a pizza with truffles, but in my opinion, it lacks flavor. I also got the Caprese Salad. Wow,it's stunning.The greens are fresh, the cheese tastes like they just made it, the tomatoes....well, they taste like the cardboard tomatoes that they carry in the grocery store, but this isn't Rome, so unless you grow your own tomatoes, that's what you get here in Ca. I grow my own, so I'm fortunate to know how good a tomato can be. It also needed more basalmic vinegar dressing, not just olive oil. But I had some here. Then I also got the Gluten free Dome . It was good I'd say. Not amazing, over cooked but everything else was delicious. I don't want a large pizza every time I buy pizza, because it's just me I'm feeding, so this will last several days. I'll freeze most of the pizza. It was worth trying though, just for the bread!

The Doppio Zero Salad is excellent. Spring greens, sliced grape tomato, capers, dried currants, wonderfully creamy feta, EVOO & tart vinaigrette arranged in a lovely presentation. Enough to serve four with a pizza. This salad lover enjoyed every bite as a light supper.
The Ricotta & Pistachio Cake is heavenly. Light, fresh, delicate, delicious & beautiful. My birthday is later this month & I will have one to celebrate.

Absolutely authentic Roman Pesto Pizza (Large). The crust is exactly as I remember it - the tomato sauce is delicate and light. The pesto is made with pistachio & basil rather than pine nuts & basil - it is a delightful variant. Large enough to feed four!

Doppio Zero Calzone is magnificent! I was not expecting a Calzone this size - a meal for four! The 72 hour dough is excellent - a delightfully flavorful surprise that encloses ample portions of flavorful thin-sliced fresh mushrooms, sausage, and cheese!
The tomato sauce is sound, and perfectly compliments the Doppio Zero Calzone.
I prefer a little more fennel & red pepper in my sausage than this - it is excellent.
By all means give the Doppio Zero Calzone a try - a bargain meal for four!
