The Teriyaki Chicken Bowl* was a generous portion of rice and chicken with a nice touch of edamame and a unique fried egg. The teriyaki sauce itself tasted good, though the chicken had a bit of a gamey flavor beneath it. I can tell the staff is trying hard as a new business, and they clearly care about presentation, but building up the core chicken flavor and ensuring order accuracy on delivery hand-offs would really help justify the cost. Unfortunately there is no option in DoorDash to select seasoned fries when ordering a hamburger however after requesting them in the special instructions tab the restaurant accommodated me with no hassle.

Sadly, that positive was balanced by a quite upsetting negative.
I also ordered a side of French Fries to share, and while the quantity was great for the price... that's where the value ended.
The fries were disgusting.
They were cold, limp, undercooked or overcooked depending on the fry, and had that nasty texture fries that have sat around for days and then been poorly reheated tend to get. There was no way these had been made fresh more recently than the weekend (it's Wednesday). And there is no way Black Bear would have served these in-restraunt.
Absolutely NOT worth the $7.09 price for a side of fries. Probably 98% of the batch went into the trash, and we still ate too many.
We won't be ordering delivery from Black Bear again."

"These were my first items & experience with Cali Rays. I had the Garlic Pesto Turkey*. The only thing I added that wasn't standard was mayo. I didn't want to get crazy with add ones before trying the baseline. It was absolutely delicious! There's sourdough bread & then there's Sourdough Bread! definitely the second one. I also had the calm New England Clam Chowder* . it was good as well & there was no grit in it that you find in some chowders.
