"Kadok's has always been one of my go-to when I'd rather have someone else cook food for me. They truly never disappoints. Well, except for this batch of lumpia shanghai I ordered. What happened to the bite size morsels of goodness that they used to sell with a crunch so loud every Pinoy and non Pinoy crave? They've been replaced by a chewy wrapper, that's what! Delivered hot off the fryer without the crunch, but rather a chewy texture that I don't appreciate. Kinda like a warmed 2 day old lumpia. Im sure someone else appreciates it, but I do prefer the classic shanghai lumpia they used to serve, where you can see where the cook cut them into smaller pieces, both ends brown from frying. Moving on the Lechon Kawali! The saddest lechon kawali I've ever seen. Not at all the chunky squares of fried pork belly goodness, with skin crackling, fat rendered, and chewy meat. No sir! I was served a sliver of fried pork belly! Chewing the skin took a century to soften. Their lechon kawali are mostly fat with barely any meat. I was gagging from all the fat. It was not appealing. Quality was just bad. Thin, soggy slices are not the what I used to order from this restaurant. They're just disappointing. Prices have gone up, too, but just not worth the good quality anymore and the small portion just makes me regret ordering it.
Dont come at me. These are my own review of the food I ordered. Would I order again? Probably not the sad lechon kawali. The lumpia, maybe! For party purposes, I definitely will. Im not mad altogether, just disappointed with the food quality."

"If you can get past the name of this place, I highly recommend it! Just know that this is NOT Texas BBQ and as far as I can tell, the meat's not even barbecued but grilled. But with those little details out of the way, the food is nonetheless delicious! I got the 2-meat BBQ Meat Combo with lamb and chicken. The lamb is cubed and cooked on skewers (you get 4), and you get a bunch of chicken! These sit on a huge pile of basic fried rice (rice fried with soy sauce) and a scoop of potato salad. It's a lot of food! And much more than I could finish. The lamb is seasoned perfectly with plenty of cumin and Chinese 5-spice, while the chicken is marinated with a slightly sweet sauce and it's super tender! "

"All good! I don't usually go for Walnut Prawn 核桃蝦球 these days, but it was well-executed (crunchy walnuts on the side, monstrous prawns in a mayo-dressing) and a fun change. The Braised duck with fresh mushroom and ginger 鮮冬菇老薑燜鴨煲 is a more Chinese presentation - you gotta nibble at the little duck bones. So good dish if you're ready to work at it a bit. Chinese Sausage & Dry Scallop Fried Rice 瑤柱臘味炒飯 was def a good break from traditional pork fried rice - sweet, dry Chinese sausage and the rice was well-textured with scallop bits in it. Finally, I'm always a sucker for Egg Custard Buns 奶皇流沙包 and these didn't disappoint - they're the orange variety, a bit gushy and squirty, sweet and still steamy.
Glad I finally got a chance to try these guys and want to keep them in business. I will def return myself to try some of the good stuff I had to pass on this first visit -"

"The 3. 🔥NEW🔥钟水饺 Szechuan Dumpling（10） (Pork Dumpling with Napa Cabbage) sum were not spicy at all, and was missing that chewy texture and was slightly soggy. The sauce they were in was more of regular mild vinegar soy flavor just topped with a little chili oil. The filling was proportionate to the size of dumpling however they lacked flavor and could have used some salt or msg. The 2. Chicken Wings were not tender and was hard to get off the bone and the skin was almost inedible and could benefit from a longer cook time or prior marinating/tenderizing. The way that it was packaged did not allow the steam to vent which made the crispy skin soggy. They were also flavorless by themselves. The onion, garlic and jalapeño topping was the only thing that saved this dish. Unfortunately I will not be ordering again."
