I love Asian star! We’ve been eating here for nearly 25 years. I believe their food is just as good as it always has been. Anyone in Utah will tell you the Walnut Shrimp cannot be beat! It’s their signature dish. Even with takeout, the textures and the flavors hold up great! The Beef Sirloin Mandarin and green beans is a favorite! There is so much beef in the dish. It has a smoky rich black bean sauce that is absolutely delicious!

Asian Star always hits hard. Along with the Walnut Shrimp, the Green Bean Stir-Fry with tender chicken breast slaps! Will for sure order again, along with the hundred other times I've already ordered it. Great portion when served with the complementary steamed rice. It always shows up fresh and piping hot!

I had the house lo mein, which contained a generous amount of a mix of seared protein, including chicken, beef and shrimp. I love a good, savory lo mein; however, the lo mein from some of the places near me ihas been bland. This was not. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the amount of sauce was perfect-enough to impart rich, savory flavor, but not so much that the noodles were swimming in sauce. And the pasta was perfectly done. My mouth is watering, just thinking about it!

You can't (or rather shouldn't) charge almost $20 for a bowl of chicken fried rice without making sure that the flavor is good and that there's more than an ounce of chicken in it. Incredibly oily, very little flavor, not great textures. It was pretty disappointing. I had my hopes up for the potstickers, but they weren't anywhere close to what I've had elsewhere.
Maybe just a rough night over there, but I don't think I'll be ordering from here again.
