"Wow! This is a new late-night joint on DoorDash in the San Jose area, and I have to say I'm super impressed. "My first time here. Ordered the carnitas and the carne asada (which looked like ground beef). Compared to other tacos I've had of the same type, I noticed this place still grills their tortillas for the tacos. If you would go to homemade corn tortillas without the grilling and you would end up losing most of the grease that the tacos are obviously drenched in.
The carnitas had too much fat on the meat and really ruined my appetite to bite into greasy tortillas to get a bite of pork fat when you're expecting a chunk of pork. You could actually feel your heart pumping faster each bite you take into these tacos.
Would I go back, no I'm sorry but the last thing I need is a great amount of grease in my food. I'd reconsider if you changed your style of tortillas and what parts of the meat you are going to place in the tacos you sell.
I ordered 4 tacos altogether and I received 5, either they miscounted or they added one in for the sale. I've decided it's the latter and it was a very thoughtful gesture. It didn't go unnoticed.
