The chicken fried steak itself was cooked perfectly, not chewy at all! The gravy was thick and well seasoned. It was smaller than most chicken fried steaks and also more expensive (at least on DoorDash) than other comparable door dash CFS.
The mashed potatoes have an odd look, texture and taste. Of course it's all personal preference I just wasn't a fan. They were gritty, and tasted freezer burnt (that's the only way I can describe it, I'm sure they weren't actually freezer burnt).
The okra was okay, it was more of an okra rock since everything was battered together and stuck during cooking, made for a soggy and inconsistent fry."

Since I didn't eat the salad from examination everything looked fresh. Moving forward the Chicken Nuggets were SO GOOD! Better than McDonald's, I'm not gon lie. I would order those for myself lol. The fries were fresh too and soooo good 10/10. The lemonade was intriguing because it was tart but also sooo very sweet and I loved it 9/10. Now I saved this one for last because OMG, I do not know what y'all do to that Strawberry Cake but please KEEP DOING IT! The icing y'all make for it was SOOOOO GOOD! Silly me - it arrived at least a day old (or more) in the baking process and actually wasn't even fully baked. hush puppies were burnt, no coleslaw, and the beans (advertisted as pintos - not sure, but I've never seen pintos that small). The one item saving this dish was again the catfish. Ample portion, (small tater sauce) but thank goodness for the catfish! I willl order again (just not the platter) and will chalk this up to the cook having a bad day.
