"Best Thai food in the city, no contest. I've eaten almost everything on this menu and there's not a single miss. The curries are the best I've had -- the panang and Massaman Curry are my faves. You can tell it's quality because the coconut oil "breaks" from the sauce. This place is legit. The Kwan's Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are deliciously flavored. The tom kha is so fresh and flavorful, it tastes like they grated coconuts to make the coconut milk themselves! The crispy pork is perfection. The khao man gai and the Krapow are homey and comforting. They get the details right -- even down to "simple" things like the Chicken / Pork Satay and the clearly homemade peanut sauce -- the meat is so wildly succulent and tender that it puts other satays you've had to shame. They do not skimp on flavor. I hope people appreciate the care and details that go into making each dish truly spectacular. I dont really write reviews here but Kwan Kitchen is worth gushing about. I've eaten and cooked a lot of Thai food, I've trained under a Michelin-decorated Thai chef. This place blows every Thai spot ive ever eaten at out of the water. "

"The portions were surprisingly small. The soup came in a tiny deli container (about a cup), and the Pad Thai portions were much smaller than what I’ve received from other Thai restaurants. There was very little protein, and the flavor was mediocre at best.
I ordered the lowest spicy level expecting at least some heat, but there was absolutely none. It tasted like it wasn’t seasoned for spice at all. For the price, the portion sizes and quality didn’t justify the cost. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering again."
