"It is really rare that I am actually impressed by a restaurant but this was on a whole nother level. Indian food in southern California is absolutely trash. Literally watered down, soulless, flavorless. It's honestly sad. This is true north Indian treasure. Every spice, every speck of flavor that is supposed to be there shines bright like Surya. Both the Malai Kofta and the Saag Paneer are exceptional, my only gripe with the food itself is that the portions could be slightly larger. I chose to go with the cilantro vinaigrette because I'm not a fan of garlic in the recommended dressing, and it was really good. I also swapped out the cheese for gorgonzola which I highly recommend! I always buy two salads so I have a meal for the next day as well so I anticipate that the cafe salad will be just as good as every other that I've had here. I'm looking forward to the goat cheese and pears and pecans. I usually put a paper towel on top and put it in a plastic bag to store it overnight and it's just as crisp and fresh as the day before. 10 out of 10"
