"Ube Cheesecake Slice, while having the traditional purple Ube color, had almost no true Ube flavor. It was bland and not even good for plain cheesecake. Very disappointing.
The Basque Cheesecake was tastier, but the crust was not at all caramelized as promised. It was just an ordinary pastry, somewhere between doughy and flaky.
Overall, we were quite disappointed, having had truly excellent Ube and Basque cheesecakes in the SF Bay Area where we are from and in the Basque region of France"

"This bakery truly captures that wonderful homemade quality that reminds you of baking at grandma's house. The skill and care that goes into their recipes is evident - these are clearly made by talented bakers who understand traditional techniques.
However, I've noticed some inconsistency in how the finished products hold up in the display cases. While I absolutely love coming here, I've learned to be selective about what I order. The smaller cakes and cupcakes, unfortunately, often taste stale and the frosting seems to pick up flavors from storage, which really detracts from what I'm sure started as beautiful creations.
That said, their cookies are consistently excellent, and I highly recommend trying the pound cake with icing - they slice and ice it fresh per order, and it's absolutely delicious. This fresh preparation really showcases just how good their baking truly is, which makes me wish the same care was taken with storage for all their items."
