It was nothing like the picture. If I was the owner of this restaurant, I would be appalled at my staff not only for the preparation of this dish, but the poor quality is a disgrace. Then whomever boxed it up, knowing that it looked like this and still let it go out of the kitchen show their lack of care for the customer. No one would eat this. If you were in the restaurant, you would have returned it, and thought it was a joke.
Beans- buy one get one free! Probably because it came from the bottom of the pot. I've never had dried crumbly refried beans before today. Didn't know it was possible you could get beans this dry. Tasteless!
Rice- An abomination! Shocker... also dry! There were so many dried out crispy hard pieces of rice that while you were chewing, you would have thought you were eating uncooked rice. Also incredibly bland.
We ended up throwing all of it out and ordered Taco Bell. It was terrible. Called the restaurant and no one answered the phone. So disappointed. "

Nothing like, mind-blowing, but damn good for a relatively simple sandwich. I appreciate the vibe, like something simple and easy to eat which will also tick the full, balanced meal box in a pinch. "This was my first time trying this place. Don't sleep on this! I got the Teriyaki Beef and Spam Musubi. I added veggies as well. Beef is tender and veggies are perfect. Does come with a lot of rice but no sauce so next time I will be sure to add some. The spam musubi was good and did come with a tiny sauce so that was good. You get a lot of food for the price. Oh and the macaroni salad was also so good. I will be getting it again."

I have spent a lot of time in the islands and this is better than any mixed plate I've had on any visit there, no question. Every bite was better than the last!
