"I’ve lived in Benicia since January 2020, and I have to say this is by far the best Mexican food in town. There’s another place that starts with an ‘S,’ but their food—especially the beans—tastes like it’s straight out of a can. I usually eat at their Vallejo location, so I was excited when they opened here in Benicia! I had the lengua burrito and ate the whole thing in one sitting, plus a carnitas taco and a cabeza taco. "I was not impressed with the early days of this restaurant.
But since they reopened after a long absence, I decided to give them a try.
The food is surprisingly very good.
I had the Chicken Tikka wrap. It didn't have a LOT of chicken, but it was flavorful and filling.
The Chicken Tikka Masala was good, and enough for two. The Plain Naan and the Garlic Naan were done perfectly.
We tried the Strawberry Lassi and, while it's *fine* it's not great. Strawberry syrup stirred through the yogurt drink just isn't great. Next time, it'll be a plain Lassie.
The good news, there will be a next time! "
