"I have ordered from Hwy55 several times since moving to NC. I find myself ordering the same three things over and over. The quality products used to make each meal are superior to other places in this area.
Every meal, I order a milkshake or lemonade. This is the only place to order a real, delicious strawberry milkshake, with or without whipped cream on top.
Although the prices are a bit higher once you've eaten the food, you can easily justify the costs. Especially in the 2020-2024 economy. This is not considered a Con once you eat here.
If you are watching Every Dollar spent, then either skip Hwy55 or enjoy this place as a special treat.

"I ordered Bharta, medium spicy. I just struggled through half of the bharta, which was burn-your-face-off spicy. I've been eating Indian food for 20+ years, in many cities, and I like spicy food. I usually order medium hot. Please believe me, I'm not exaggerating the spice level at all - I could barely eat it, and I could not enough the dish.
The basmati rice was a tiny portion - not enough for the order.
I used to eat here a lot, but I went there less and less frequently, mostly because the service was not great. The food was still pretty good, so I thought it would be nice to get it delivered. "It was my first time trying this place and although I didn't recieve a good first slice of cake I am open to trying them again. The Carolina's Chocolate Cake had a lot of holes in it indicating that the batter wasn't thoroughly mixed. On top of that , because it wasn't very well mixed it led to a lot of dry spots in the cake itself which I didn't really like. The chocolate frosting was very oily and didn't spread well, it was also kind of clumpy. Overall I would say that the slice of cake for $7 is a bit on the small size , there are other places you could go to which give you bigger slices for $6. I will be trying this place again since it has decent reviews! I just think maybe today was an off day since my slice clearly wasn't fresh."
