"I've been a vegetarian my entire life and was excited to order from Parakeet, but the food and service was submarginal, at best. I ordered 2 meals to have something for dinner tomorrow night and a bunch of desserts and the hummus to share when I visit my son tomorrow. First, I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, but received the chicken burger instead. This went right to the garbage as I don't eat chicken. I couldn't even eat the potatoes as theybwere in the same box as the chicken and juice from the chicken may have flowed onto the fries. I will get a refund, but my dinner for tomorrow is non-existent.
The other meal, the Chilaquiles was not very good. The chips were completely soggy. I had ordered the eggs over-easy, but the yolks were cooked through. I paid (quite a bit) extra to add beans, but there were hardly any present - I'd estimate less than 1/4 cup.
Since the two meals were inedible, I decided to eat the Hummus & Bread as a meal, but ended up not being able to eat it because it was spicy! I have eaten a lot of hummus in my life and it is NEVER spicy (unless labeled as such). This hummus burnt my tongue. Since spicy food unfortunately gives me heartburn, I was left with just the sourdough bread that came with it. Thankfully I had a few slices of cheese in the fridge for dinner

"Loved both the latte (hot, with oat milk and pandan syrup), and the matcha - double matcha latte (iced, with oat milk and vanilla bean syrup, topped with a matcha cream). My only complaint is that the drinks are expensive on DoorDash, so with the added costs of delivery, it's not as worth it when compared to other businesses on here. Chance's is currently running a promo for $5 off of $45, but that doesn't really make sense when they don't sell food in addition to drinks--who needs 4 or 5 drinks at a time? "I absolutely adore this place. I went in person for the first time a week ago and it was AMAZING. This time I got a MATCHA LATTE with cherry syrup and it was amazing, I always add extra simple syrup to mine because I like it sweet and with extra matcha. 10/10. Next was their FRENCH TOAST which is also amazing because they put a good amount of marscapone and blueberry compote 10/10. The only thing that dissapointed me was I got a sesame seed bagel with my Bagel with cream cheese instead of the crusted cheese one I got in person with the salmon bagel. It was the best bagel I've had since leaving New York and I was craving it so bad but I'll get it in person next time!"
