"Most appetizers aren't worth the value. Order the Botana Grande and you'll quickly discover that. The nachos and quesadilla were soggy and the cheese re-congealed. So, in the future, skip those.
Both the taquitos (chicken and beef) were good. The filling was generous.
But, the star of the Botana Grande was the wings. Fried to perfection, retained the flavor of chicken and not the oil it was fried in. Super plus.
I also have had the bean dip and queso dips. These and the chips used as a delivery device were well seasoned.
Now, the show stopper and perhaps hidden gem - the tamales! Again, generous fillings, creamy, firm masa, rich sauce. Spiced just right with a warming heat and you won't even notice that you're nose might start to drip a little toward the end of the second one. Solution, only eat one. Oh, who am I kidding? Eat them both and use your handkerchief."
