"Most appetizers aren't worth the value. Order the Botana Grande and you'll quickly discover that. The nachos and quesadilla were soggy and the cheese re-congealed. So, in the future, skip those.
Both the taquitos (chicken and beef) were good. The filling was generous.
But, the star of the Botana Grande was the wings. Fried to perfection, retained the flavor of chicken and not the oil it was fried in. Super plus.
I also have had the bean dip and queso dips. These and the chips used as a delivery device were well seasoned.
Now, the show stopper and perhaps hidden gem - the tamales! Again, generous fillings, creamy, firm masa, rich sauce. Spiced just right with a warming heat and you won't even notice that you're nose might start to drip a little toward the end of the second one. Solution, only eat one. Oh, who am I kidding? Tonight however, I ordered the Truffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was completely raw. I had to reheat it in the oven, at 400°. It took 15 minutes for the chickens internal temp to reach 165°, 15 minutes! Even after cooking it myself, it was still was chewy and made me nervous, so I tossed it.
Yhe Deviled Eggs were so salty I ate one and regretted it touching my taste buds as soon as I popped it into my mouth. I was surprised, because they are on the Most Ordered list, so I'm guessing it was a chefs error, but I'm not willing to test that given the price."

With the crispy onion strings and such, it was hot and comforting. The cake...the cake...just. Wow. It's an amazing cake to begin with, but they topped it with this interesting version of whipped cream that had something in it that doesn't exist in a typical whipped cream recipe, couldn't place it.
