"We were long customers of Dagwood's, so when a new pizza place took over their spot, we were hesitant but also curious. SO FAR SO GOOD. We ordered pizzas and salads - so nice that someone in Santa Monica has reasonably priced salads for once - and, honestly, our order had a problem or two. We contacted the store, and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to rectify the issue. On top of that, their food is really good. We got the Caesar Salad and the Caprese di Burrata Salad , both of which were excellent. (In fact, the person in the house who does not like Caesar Salad, liked this one.) The two pizzas we got - funghi al tartufo and new york spinach - were both very good. All in all, we are very pleased with what will likely become our new regular pizza place. Thank you, guys!"

"Lamb Chop Protein Plate was good overall, although I know it would have been perfect if I was at the restaurant. The food arrived hot/very warm -- I ordered the lamb chops medium rare so they would arrive medium (carryover cooking) and that happened. The meat was tender. I was sort of expecting a sear on the surface but maybe that softened en route. The lemon asparagus was crisp which I loved. They use thin asparagus. The mashed potatoes were also delicious and rustic with some small potato chunks which is how I make mine (I like them toothsome). The portions were generous without it feeling to gluttonous (if that makes sense). I have one single chop left which will be a snack for later. But I ate every thing else. The chimichurri was also good. The only reason I didn't give this a "Love" was because everything needed salt just to enhance the flavor some -- but to be clear the food was not bland and did have some flavor. Just some finishing salt would have made it chef's kiss. But it was a very tasty and well prepared meal overall.
The chocolate Brigadiero was delicious-- I ate half before I took my photo :-). I love chocolate desserts and this hit the spot. Rich and chocolatey and not overly sweet. It came with a half a strawberry which was juicy and sweet in its own right and a small dollop of cream. Will finish the rest tomorrow.
I definitely plan to order from them again and try their other meals."
