"This place was so bad it deserves my first Doordash review. Days later, I'm still mourning the $20 and 20 minutes of my time wasted on this bagel place. We ended up at Tal's because we were tight on time and foolishly thought placing a pickup order 30 minutes before we left the house would save time. We made the mistake of heading straight inside, bypassing the unlabeled pickup window outside. Ok our mistake. No big deal, at least not to us ... maybe this is where we got off on the wrong foot. After being redirected outside, we then wait a few more minutes to receive our order. They forgot to make my friend's bagel (+15 mins) so while we waited, I unwrapped my ($13) Sausage, Egg and Cheese bagel, with avocado added ($3). I had no issue with the sausage, egg, and cheese. I was betrayed by the thin, tough, underproofed bagel halves and hard slices of underripe avocado ($3). Make sure to sharpen your teeth before you arrive. You'll need them to rip through the tough bread of the bagel. Don't bother adding avocado ($3). All of the unripe avocado slices and an annoying amount of the sausage, egg and, cheese will just slip out as you fight to bite into the city's saddest bagel. Once you've given up on picking up fallen avocado and placing it back in between the ozempic-thin bagel pieces you managed to gnaw off, take your cheesyavocadoegggrease fingers and be on your way. Definitely don't ask the staff for napkins at the unlabeled pickup window outside that you're still standing in front of because your friend's order is still being remade. If you do, the staff member will hand you one (1) singular napkin for you and your two friends to share. Finally, this one is for the water snobs - If you were hoping to wash this experience down with the SmartWater you added to your cart, you'll be disappointed to know that they only have Poland Spring. Save yourself $10 and 20 minutes of your time and just go to a deli."
