Butter Chicken was delicious and a generous sized portion. Curry was savory without being too hot, and it included large chunks of tender white meat chicken. Served on a bed of fragrant rice flavored with fennel seeds.
Garlic Naan was also a good-sized portion for the money - two large pieces. I was unable to finish it after the large entree, but I'm sure it will make a nice snack for tomorrow.
Mango Lassi was sweet and refreshing. Tasted like real fruit and yogurt."

"When this was still Hong Kong House it was my go to Chinese place in salem. i figured I'd try the new owners out and see if it stayed similar. It did not. Major downgrade in the food quality. We got the Bo Bo Platter 宝宝盆 and Mandarin Dinner . The crab rangoon taste like straight sweet cream cheese. no imitation crab in site. the veggie egg rolls were battered but under fried and tasted like literal nothing. the sweet n sour sauce and yellow mustard both tasted off, almost chemically. A lot was wrong for how expensive chinese food is. There are positives though, all the mains were pretty decent. The beef was the best part tender well seasoned. The Kung pao shrimp were cooked well but were not spicy at all, the fried shrimp were not great, those tasted a lil too fishy so we didn't finish them. Not the worst in town, but will not be back most likely."

"One of the best deals and great tasting Chinese takeout I've had in the Salem Keizer area for a long time.. great portions and reasonably priced and everything tasted splendid! The 37. Kung Pao Shrimp / 宮保蝦 was actually spicey with great flavor I used the marinade for the free box of white rice they gave me which created a whole new meal for the next day with the shrimp. as for the If I Shrimp Lo Mein / 大蝦撈麵 and the kumpao shrimp they most definitely did not skimp on the shrimp and you got plenty! This is the first Chinese takeout place that actually will leave gives you enough and you feel like you got your money's worth and not just 5 shrimps.. lol The Thai ice tea tasted amazing and wasn't too sweet or bitter at all! If I didn't have to rotate on back on keto I'd eat this every night if I could afford the dollar amount and the extra baggage around the waist! Thanks y'all!"

It wasn't just a spicy garlic flavor there was so much flavor in the sauce and marinade I loved it. The 38. Salt & Pepper Shrimp / 椒鹽蝦 were amazing and still crunchy when I received them and had the best salt and pepper taste. And they were shelled shrimp for those that are curious. I've only ever had salt and pepper shrimp in the shell but these are amazing and easy to eat! Highly recommend each and every day"

"Definitely recommend the General Tso's Chicken! It's slightly spicy but always comes delivered hot and surprisingly crisp. The Pork Fried Rice is a great base for anything. The portion is perfect. BBQ pork rice noodles isn't greasy, and tastes great. Mongolian Beef has a slight heat to it but the mix of meat to vegetables is so worth the money. Lum Yuen doesn't skimp out on portions or proteins so I would recommend them. They have more traditional Chinese flavors, so you aren't just getting sweet fried American Chinese food. The chicken was like dry, hard pieces that were breaded to try to hide how awful the chicken was. There was very little Sweet and Sour sauce and the fried rice had no taste at all. The Chow Mein was the only thing that was really good.

"Everything was delicious. The Black Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen is a huge portion, honestly enough fort two to share. I appreciate that they package the broth separately so nothing gets soggy and you can add as you go if you want. The Pan-Seared Pork Gyoza (6 pcs) are also great, very typical and what youd expect. The Spicy Pork Shrimp Wonton (8 pcs) were fantastic! Spicy but not too much. Definitely will get everything again!"

Glad I had a steamed item to offset the deep fried.
The Steamed XiaoLongBao (8pcs) are little packages of bite-sized deliciousness. Each dumpling sits inside its own tiny tin. There is a small tender meatball inside each one as well as a tasty broth. Eat it all in one bite or the broth will escape. These are served with a chili diping sauce. The sauce has an earthy chili flavor with a mild heat that accentuates the dumpling nicely. Well worth the cost!
The Tempura Shrimp (6 pcs) sticks were a little over cooked and very greasy. They lost the tender delicate crisp I am used to when I have made or ordered them from other places. Although they still had a good flavor the cook spoiled it. Overall the value was still there with the quantity and flavor.
Tornado Potato was som I just had to try. I can see this being a really tasty side but sadly it was a grease sponge. Great presentation and flavor but poor execution. Perhaps the grease was too cool but the bag was very translucent and my fingers were super greasy trying to pull pieces off the stick. Getting hold of a disk would squish grease out. The upside is that it was really well seasoned.
Hopefully the overcooked Tempura Shrimp (6 pcs)and the super greased slogged Tornado Potatoeere just a one time mis-step. I may have to try them again just to see. "

"The food was disappointing and mediocre at best. Portion size was good but doesn't make up for taste. We got Egg Foo Young and Mu Shu Pork.
The Foo Young appeared to be institutional premade patties that they just heat and put the gravy on. Super spongy and zero texture. I can remember getting foo young that was house made and had bean spritz in them for texture and ut was not like biting into a sponge. You get three patties and before the first one is finished the gag reflex kicked in. Seriously, it was just so texturally wrong! The gravy was typical brown gravy for this dish.
The Mu Shu pork had premade rice wraps. I've never had square ones before. They have always come round or oblong fue to the pour but that was the pre made giveaway...all the same uniform shape and size.
The veggies were fresh and crispy but there was no seasoning. It was like eating barely heated raw shredded cabbage with chopped dried out BBQ pork. That's the only thing that was flavored and the pieces were super dry and chewy.
The hoisin sauce came in packets and they only gave 2 packets but 5 wraps. Go figure.
Thankfully there was a jar of hoisin in the cupboard and tamari sauce in the fridge.
I will have to continue my search for authentic Asian cuisine in Salem."

"The Popcorn Chicken with Rice did not live up to the positive reviews. Chicken was dry and way, way overseasoned, mostly with black pepper. The rice was decent, but white rice is cheap and easy to make at home. Green beans were also ok, seasoned with butter and a little black pepper. Too bad they didn't use the same light hand with the pepper shaker on the chicken.
Lemon Smoothie was ok. I ordered it with 0% added sugar because I am prediabetic; I also just like sour things. It wasn't as tart as I expected it to be, nor did it taste like any artificial sweetener I know of, so I expect it still has some added sugar. It would have been nice if they had provided nutritional information. They also didn't include the serving size; I would guesstimate it to be about 16 oz.
Bottom line: the smoithie is similar to a frozen lemonade that you could get at a fast food restaurant for about half the price, and unlike this restaurant, McDonald's will tell you exactly how many calories and grams of sugar it has. And the chicken was just bad.
