The only mistake I’ve ever had was actually getting EXTRA food. 😂 One time, I received a 5-piece hot wing that I didn’t order. I called to let them know because I work in food service and understand that if I received something extra, there’s a chance someone else could be missing something. Happy to say the other customer’s order had been corrected, and my “extra” wings were absolutely delicious. Needless to say, I’ve ordered their wings several times since then.
Another major plus for me is that they’re open late. I get off work at 11 PM, shower, and by 11:30 I’m HUNGRY. Deno’s comes through right on time.
One of my favorites is their Louisiana fried fish and fries. The fish is so crispy and seasoned well. I’ve also had the crab legs twice. That’s my little treat to myself when I work a little overtime and my son’s daycare bill is paid in full. 😂 The crab legs are cooked perfectly, come right out of the shell, and are a good size. A lot of places serve those small, skinny legs, but Deno’s gives you some good-sized crab legs.
You can trust that Deno’s will serve you right every time.
Another MUST-TRY is the fried gizzards. MY LORD! 😂 I don’t know what they’re doing back there, but if they ever change that recipe, I’m making a personal appearance to protest. These things are GOOD!

This evening we pretty much played Russian roulette with jelati, jelati roulette, and the odds didn't end up in our favor, or flavor!! We totally understood from our Dasher that a certain flavor and size was out of stock and she said they still made them without the flavor and in the size they had. She even refunded the 3 that were in question, which was great customer service on her part and earned her a bigger tip for the thoughtfulness and savings on the order! We assumed that the the other flavors in each jelati that she said they did have would've been used to make the them, but we ended up with flavors and toppings that weren't even close.. Oreos and biscoff are definitely different, to name one example. If the one missing flavor had just been omitted, it would've been fine with us. Technically, we were missing one whole jelati because our Dasher informed us that they gave us a small vanilla cup, which would've meant there should've been 7 cups total, however, there were still 6. The vanilla cup wasn't vanilla or a flavor related to the missing jelati and it wasn't close to the size either. While, I think it was done with good intentions, unfortunately, it was a miss. Thankfully, the incorrect items were for the adults and not the kids, so our Granny's surprise desserts weren't a complete mishap for everyone! A call from the establishment would've been amazing, as we could've changed the flavor and avoided all the craziness. We've had other instances where a restaurant has called due to being out of something and it worked out great. Next time, we will call first to verify if certain items are in stock before just ordering and leaving it up to chance or drive ourselves to the restaurant.
