The Roast Beef Melt was delicious, but the portions were noticeably out of balance. Two thin slices of roast beef on a 7–8 inch piece of bread looked skimpy, and the cheese-to-bread ratio felt off as well. If the bread were closer to 5 inches, the portions would be just about perfect. I order sandwiches for the filling, not the size of the bread, and adjusting that ratio would make this an excellent item. The Madelines were tasty, as were the Fried Dumplings. "

"This meal was fantastic! My egg and Egg & Cheese sandwich was a bit crooked- the pieces of toast weren't evenly placed on each other, more like half way on top of each other. But that doesn't bother me! The flavors were phenomenal. The Oatmeal was fantastic, I loved that the toppings were not mixed in at first so nothing got soggy. "If pastries are your thing, La Madeleine genuinely delivers. Their Nutella muffins are sooo tasty and some of the most consistently good baked goods I’ve found. The flavor is almost always there--I’ve only ever had one pastry box of them that was off. The croissant dough is really solid too, and so naturally the ham and cheese croissant shows that off well. I’ve also gotten the tarte au citron for my partner, who is a serious lemon lover, and it’s been a hit every time.
But outside of the pastry case, I’ve been disappointed more times than I can excuse at this point. I’ve tried the Croque Monsieur with the broccoli cheddar and country potato soups, and the lemonade, none of which really impressed me. I also ordered a frosted sugar cookie that came with none at all (listing even noted that frosting color varies by location, so clearly it’s supposed to come frosted).
I keep giving it another shot hoping something will surprise me, but at this point I think their strength is very clearly in the baked goods. And if you’re ordering anything beyond pastries like drinks, hot food, or even expecting your order to come out right, just go in knowing it might not meet expectations."

"The 3 Egg Three Egg Scramble was good. I got some extras in it: ham, scallions tomatoes, mushrooms, and gruyere. The eggs were a little firmer than I would have made for myself, but still nicely done, with no evidence of overcooking or any scorching. They didn't seem heavy or fatty, yet I tasted hints of what I thought was butter. (Butter is my favorite thing in which to scramble eggs.)
It WAS kind of odd having a salad with scrambled eggs, but what the hey, y'know?
Oh, there WAS one thing: when I placed the order through the Doordash app, it gave me a (required) choice of either wheat or some other kind of bread (I forget). I chose wheat, but got no bread at all. Didn't occur to me until later that the bread hadn't been in the order, so by the time I realized it, I chose not to complain.
If you do decide to try this dish, be prepared for a little sticker shock. Eggs at the grocery store are between about 3 and 8 dollars a DOZEN, depending on where you shop, and what kind of eggs you get. And the ingredients for a side salad won't set you back much, either. But base price for this meal, without any add-ons, fees, taxes, etc., I say BASE price, is $18.50 through Doordash. My final price, as delivered (without the bread) was a shade over $30. Something like $32, $34, I don't remember exactly.
I made my own choice to pay that, ONCE, because I wanted to try it and I was hungry. But I might not go back again. $30+ for scrambled eggs and a side salad?🤔"
