"Everything was packaged with care and I will say, despite being packaged in styrofoam, Honey Bee's chicken is somehow always still crispy and delicious. All too often, chicken tenders from other vendors tend to show up soggy, but not Honey's. Their sweet tea reminds me of the sweet tea in Savannah, GA; you're doing yourself a disservice if you get anything else to drink. If you're local to Dayton and wondering if this will substitute in place of a store that rhymes with Blazing Blaine's, it will. You'll also get it forty minutes sooner, trust. The location is in a half-abandoned strip mall, which somehow made me trust it more. That is usually where either terrible decisions or incredible food happens, and thankfully this was the second one.
The wings were large, crispy, breaded, and well-seasoned enough that they would have been good even without sauce. That is rare. A lot of places treat wings like sad little sauce vehicles, but these actually had flavor on their own.
We tried Buffalo, Garlic Parm, Sweet Chili, and Yo Daddy’s sauce on the side. Buffalo was classic and reliable. Garlic Parm was buttery, creamy, and better than the versions I’ve had from bigger chain wing places. Sweet Chili was flavorful without being overly sweet. The Yo Daddy’s sauce was the surprise standout for me: kind of like a Carolina Gold-style sauce, but not overly mustardy."
