It was fantastic and hit all the right notes, and this comes from a person born and raised in NYC. "Too generic for the price. The platter is just bland lettuce, bland tomatoes, and orange rice... it's like the sides given for a generic Mexican restaurant, which I was not expecting. Most other halal/Mediterranean/Turkish places have far more flavor and spice and seasoning. The rice is supposed to be fragrant. This was just... generic and bland all around. Also really disappointing that the regular size only came with 4 wings. And they're small. The breading makes them seem normal, but there's barely enough meat for $18. The Mango Iced Tea is alright. Easily the most enjoyable thing I had.

I recently dined at the Honest Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of both the food and the service. Today, I had the pleasure of ordering the Triple Schezwan Rice. While the flavors were outstanding, I would like to make a minor suggestion for this particular dish. It would enhance the overall experience if the quantity of paneer and Manchurian could be increased as it currently falls a bit short to fully complement the dish.
However, this minor observation aside, my overall experience at Honest Restaurant was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly give it a 5-star rating."

"Aladdin's Eatery is a chain restaurant that doesn't taste like a chain. The food is EXCELLENT! The lamb is never overcooked, always seasoned perfectly, and I mean perfectly . The Hummous is quite good. The pita is okay but not everything can be like mom used to make.
Their garlic sauce will make you want to swim in it!! The Falafel is always crisp on the outside without being burned. Everything always tastes fresh. Also I eat there frequently and they are consistently good and have been for years now.
My only complaint is that the delicious looking deserts are mediocre in flavor. The carrot cake is not moist or richly flavorful. The multipack of the baklava is made in and shipped from Chicago. I dont get it. Everything is so fresh anscrisp and the deserts are nitevwn okay.
Overall a wonderful place with fresh food and fresh ingredients. A place I take visitors from out of town and a place my buddies and I will meet for dinner. They do a great job on everything but desert.

I don't know what I expected for the Sambar Rice
but it's literally soup with rice. Sambar comes with the dosa and rice comes with ... something.. .so we already had those 2 ingredients so getting sambar rice didn't really add anything.
The Apollo Fish, Navaratan Kurma were great. the Dal Tadka was surprisingly too spicy. Re: the Masala Dosa ... you might think not to order because of course it won't be as crispy as in person, but it was surprisingly good. My son loves it and even liked it in delivery mode, i.e, folded into a container. I hate their use of styrofoam. They used reusable plastic containers for the fish, kurma, chaat, and dal, but used styrofoam for the rice and the dosa.
I wish they would do buffet on weekends. They said they did that pre-covid."
