"Whenever I'm in the mood for a good ol' southern meal, this is where I go. The food is fresh, perfectly seasoned, flavorful and there's a great variety of selections for every meal. I had the Homestyle Chicken dinner tonight with green beans, mac and cheese and fried apples for dessert and I'm a happy, happy girl. And what I REALLY love is that they also offer a "sides only" meal. I do a lot of grilling for a week at a time but I'm not always in the mood for making sides throughout the week. Being able to order their Country Vegetable Plate allows me to order two meals worth of sides that I can pair with my meats and I've got a fairly healthy meal with little effort. And because I LOVE sweet potatoes, I'm always on the lookout for places where I can order them. This is one of only TWO places I've found where I can order them. The Loaded Baked Sweet Potato is always cooked perfectly, the flavor is amazing even if you don't get the toppings, and it's a healthier choice than some of the other starchy sides. And their Sugar Plum Tea (Half Gallon)... Oh how I hope they put this on the menu as a regular because I think this has become one of my favorite varieties of flavored tea. "I ordered 301 Thai Fried Rice and Thai Iced Coffee for lunch. They were out of coffee, so I ended up subbing Thai Iced Tea, which was good and as I expected. The rice arrived with a complimentary egg roll and sauce as is the custom at other area restaurants during lunch, and the container was filled as completely as possible. The spices used (ordered Level 3) definitely gave it the characteristic flavor I'm used to, but it seemed like it might have contained soy sauce based on the color and flavor. It was fresh and high quality, containing cubed carrots, whole peas, chicken (optional), onion, and minimal egg. All in all it didn’t stand out as undeniably Thai to me based on the versions I've had elsewhere, but it was objectively excellent fried rice. Not greasy, not undercooked, not overcooked, no lumps or chunks, good ratio of vegetables to rice. I'm looking forward to trying their pineapple fried rice and the spicy basil version too. I'll be back."
