"First we love Lula's! it is the best Dominican place around! No one wanted the tres golpes pizza to slam more than our Italian/Dominican family but it needs some work. While the cheese, salami, and egg are delicious, you really miss the flavors of mangu and pickled onions which aren't on the pizza. The pizza part was all wrong because the marinara sauce is weirdly sweet like it has sugar. Also despite it taking 3x longer to arrive than other orders, it was still undercooked floppy dough because the toppings are too heavy. You need to cook the pizza first in a hotter oven and add the toppings at the end. It's a cool attempt, glad we tried it, and wasn't bad tasting but it could be great with some tweaks. For now I'd stick to the regular tres golpes (delicious) and just get pizza from a pizza place."

"I’m sorry to say this because I used to love this place, but my recent order was really disappointing. One of my favorite items, the cornbread soufflé, wasn’t available, which was a letdown right from the start. Instead, I ordered the sampler appetizer and the BBQ sampler for one.
The Texas Lollipops were very dry and nothing special. I was excited to try the mac and cheese egg rolls, but they were soggy rather than crispy and tasted like they came straight from the freezer. They also had a strange flavor that I didn’t enjoy at all.
The potato skins were okay, and the onion rings were decent but could have been crispier. The fries were just average. For a place like this, I expected fresh-cut fries, but these definitely didn’t seem fresh.
The biggest disappointment was the BBQ. The ribs were extremely overcooked, dry, and barely had any sauce on them. The brisket was okay, and the fried chicken was okay, but neither stood out.
Overall, this place has definitely gone downhill since the last time I visited years ago. There is a lot of room for improvement. I’m thankful I got a deal on this order because I would have been extremely disappointed if I had paid full price."
