"A couple of years ago I left an average review for Robert Earl's. In a rare occurrence I actually had the owner reach out to me and offer a free meal upon my return, which instantly made me a fan because it says how important a customer centric experience is to his business.
I felt bad that I live in Sacramento and hadn't had a chance to return to Robert Earl's in a significant amount of time but I was committed to returning based upon the owners desire to satisfy a customer.
In full transparency, I didn't accept the free meal offered by the owner (I sincerely appreciated the jesture) as I didn't want it to in any way impact my review. I'm happy I returned, it wasn't only good it was EXCELLENT!! The ribs and the rib-tips were cooked to perfection, VERY tender and favorable. The sauce is sweet with a hint of heat which is excellent as it doesn't overpower the flavor of the meat. The Greens were tender, the bake beans were good and didn't taste like they had soaked in the restaurants BBQ sauce. But the real star is, as it should be, the BBQ!! Everything else after that is a bonus!!
I HIGHLY recommend Robert Earl's, and will ALWAYS make an effort to eat there whenever I'm in Southern, Ca.

"We got the "buy one,get one free" 2 Meat plate and an order of Jambalaya. Everything was fresh and hot! The meat plates are identical, so you're just getting double the amount of everything. They come with fixin's and bread. The cornbread had a nice crumb to it, not too dry.The Jambalaya has a bit of heat in the sausage but the rest is very mild and tasty. The greens were soft and perfect. Generous portions all around. We drizzled some honey on the cornbread. Very satisfying!"

"First time ordering from Meme's BBQ. Affordable, especially comared to other bbq spots. Been looking for a good bbq spot since my favorite permanently closed. This is my new favorite. The Pitmaster Combo is a lot of food. All the meats are nicely seasoned, smokey and tender. The bbq sauce is on point. Just wish they didn't forget my EXTRA BBQ SAUCE. The Mac and Cheese is a creamy style. Not terrible, just not my preference. The coleslaw is slightly sweet, didn't mind it. The meats are really what it's all about. "

The portions are great. I couldn't wait to take a bite. The brisket was too firm. The had brisket from everywhere and this was not good. A good brisket feeds without breaking and melts in your mouth. This was a tough over cooked thick cut of meat.
Similar review on the ribs. These pork ribs felt more like beef ribs. They were tough and had to enjoy. Good pork ribs should fall off the bone and easy to eat, this was not that.

"Yes the greens are a sweet but idk I like them I put hot sauce on my greens( especially with pig feet!). It's not overly sweet like most people are saying. Gravy and rice is probably the best side I like here lol . Mac and cheese is decent not bland like everyone is saying, but could use some work . I'm satisfied.. I don't really like corn bread but damn .. their corn bread is not too sweet and is buttery and extremely soft ! Could buy a whole order of those alone . Fry chicken is good and pig feet is good too not overly salty. Only thing I skims say , they gave me two of the smallest chicken pieces ... I'm not a wing nor drumstick person but should have contacted them lol . They ran out of puddling and notified so communication with this store is good! I ordered a side a Mac and cheese for 2 and they gave a small portion for 1 person. I ordered fries that could be shared and it's decent. They gave me 2 salads when I ordered one. A ton of chips with little bit of cheese sauce. I would not recommend ordering here at all. Bad service because we had to wait extra time for our order and overall just not a pleasant meal."
