"The burrito was about 90% rice. Very little meat was in this burrito. It had no flavor as well. While building the burrito on the app, it did the opposite. When I received it, all of the ingredients were on the side so I had to literally opened up the tortilla and put everything in there. Of course that didn't work because it fell apart. So I basically had one big messy plate of rice with about five pieces of meat.

"This review is long overdue. We used to order from Papa Juan’s all the time. It was our go to spot for local Mexican food. I decided to order again today because I was craving their shrimp ceviche, but sadly the experience did not live up to what it once was.
The ceviche used to be packed with shrimp and flavor. Now it feels like it is mostly cucumbers and onions, likely just to fill the container. The overall presentation of the food felt careless and bland.
On top of that, their packaging has not adapted to today’s delivery standards. There was no tamper evident seal, just a plastic bag loosely tied at the top. When ordering through a service like DoorDash, I expect the restaurant to take food safety and presentation seriously.
Papa Juan’s used to be a standout, but sadly it no longer feels worth it.

"Food quality here is bad. Had Man vs Fries from Burbank and Los Angeles locations and thought they were great. Don't know why this meal was a far cry from the others. The guacamole was just the goopy bagged version, the meat was just chewy and filled with connective tissue (in the meat we did get). I got the NORCAL ASADA FRIES and they had the two issues mentioned above. They poured way too much of the really bad quality "guacamole" all over the meal, and made the whole thing tast awful. My boyfriend got the HELLA-DILLA and it was just tortilla cut into random triangles and placed in the container, and was missing half the ingredients. Only about 5 small chunks of meat and fries were in his order. For the terrible quality of what you will get, it should definitely not be priced at $15+ per item.
