The flavors were wonderful and the portions were good. Only real issue was that the yum yum sauce (that I paid extra for the big container) didnt really match up to the same standard as everything else... it was more like a creamer light thousand island dressing. I still think KOBE has the best yum yum sauce but over all- we will happily order from KAWA again... especially if they keep the same quality and portions. If it was more affordable- I would probably even order from there every week to be honest. "

The problem is that the price was entirely unreasonable for what turned out to be quite small sushi rolls, and the sushi was not remotely special enough to warrant an excessive price for less food compared to the other restaurant options out there. At over $21 before any DoorDash and delivery fees, we can get twice as much food elsewhere at a similar quality.
We are disappointed and would consider trying here again, but until prices or portions are adjusted, the value is not there. "

The spam musubi is consistently spot on and perfect especially for being so far away from HI. The Huli Huli chicken also very good. The garlic shrimp is good- not as good as Giovanni's but then again everytime I've been there I've been starving from hiking. I did notice that it was MUCH better this time around. I hate to do reviews after one try bc sometimes ppl have an off day. The one item that was super disappointing was the Mac salad. It was a really small portion and was bland and tasteless. It really surprised me bc when I ordered from here on 4/11 it was spot on. So I guess I'll say after ordering from them multiple times it's more off than on in regards to the Mac salad. The Karaage breading was crispy and very lightly seasoned. The chicken itself was very tender and flavorful. We had the sauce on the side but didn't try it as we had other sauces at home.
