"This is one of our favorite go-to Chinese restaurants in Vallejo. The serving sizes are pretty good - feeds 4 adults and have leftovers for lunch. "I always love getting food from New China Barn. I've been in lve with their food since 2017 when I used to buy it for me and my co-workers. Some of my favorite foods are their Salt Pepper Shrimp and Vegetable Chow Mein. My mom loves their Shrimp Fried Rice since there's no peas in it and she loves their Bok 2. Bok Choy with Garlic Sauce . Also, the Thai Ice Tea and Frozen Passion Fruit Drinks are great. Everything always comes fresh and hot, even seasoned to perfection.
One thing is I wish they offered lunch specials, individual meals or smaller portionson Doordash and Uber Eats. I'd hate for so much food to go to waste."

When I called to complain, the young receptionist was flip and unapologetic and told me to have a goodday. i felt unheard and disrespected. My mother and I ordered here a few times, but recently we ordered the (BONELESS) Half&Half chicken (sesame soy + korean bbq), Fresh Garlic Fries , Homemade Strawberry Lemonade and Tteokbokki .
The presentation for everything was beautiful. I like to not just eat with my mouth but with my eyes too so the black + white sesame seed and green onion garnish was lovely.
For the chicken- my mom loved it!
Fries - they were pretty good. they have a sweet glaze, maybe like honey butter or something but it's interesting. I like that they were still crunchy and not soggy at all.
Tteokbokki- such a large portion. and the tteok was thicc. 😂 I enjoyed that it wasn't too spicy so even my mom could enjoy it, though personally I wouldn't mind it hotter 😉
Lemonade- was really good! not overwhelmingly sweet or sour. I love it came in a sealed cup, (the kind of cup that milktea comes in).

"We have been ordering Butter Chicken from your restaurant for many years. Our family of five orders from you regularly, and we have also dined in your restaurant since 2017.
That is exactly why we felt it was important to leave an honest review.
Unfortunately, today’s order was very disappointing. The Butter Chicken we received was nothing like the dish we have come to know and love over the years. The sauce used to be rich, thick, flavorful, and genuinely buttery and creamy. Today, however, it was thin, watery, and lacked the depth of flavor and creaminess that made it so memorable.
The difference was so noticeable that even our children joked that it was no longer Butter Chicken, but “Water Chicken.” We laughed, but honestly, it was disappointing to hear because this used to be one of our family’s favorite dishes.
What concerns us even more is that some of the other dishes we ordered also seemed different from what we remember. The flavors, textures, and overall quality felt noticeably changed. As longtime customers, it inevitably makes us wonder whether there has been a change in the chef, the ingredients, or the recipes themselves.
If that is the case, we have to say that, from our perspective, these changes have not been for the better.
We are not writing this to seek compensation or simply complain. Quite the opposite — we would genuinely like to continue being loyal customers. But after more than a decade of dining with you and six years of regular takeout orders for our family, the difference we experienced today was impossible to ignore.
