"I'm Cuban food wasted! Woe o have t had Chorizo Con Pan in years. It's delicious and the smokiness shone through and I was brought back to one of my favorite comfort foods! I love chorizo español (chorizo made in Spain) which is actually a hard sausage tbh. It's amazing with those red smoked peppers and onions! Que rico! And then I hit that Cuban flan remembering how I used to sneak in my mom's fridge and keep slicing thinly her freshly made Flan hoping she wouldn't notice... "Tropicana reminds me of home. Yes, I am a Miami boy. As a teenager at Miami Jackson High School, I would take $5-$10 for lunch. I would order a small portion of what we know as the TROPICANA BOWL. I would eat this before, football , basketball, and track practices, games, or events. I come from very low means , so the $5-$10 dollars was my only meals of sustance for the day. The TROPICANA BOWL helped me achieve great heights in Miami's competitive sports environment. Furthermore, I was able to sleep without hunger. Tropicana means more to me than just a place to eat. "We ordered some of the weekend exclusives including the Strawberry and Cream , the Nutella Banana and the Elmo Donuts. Kids were happy the Elmo character was spot on and delicious. The nutella banana was so good I mean who doesn't like nutella and especially in a donut! The Strawberry and Cream was very light and the strawberries they used were very fresh. The staff was very kind and included complimentary items of croissants. We're happy campers and D K's Donuts made our Sunday morning that much sweeter. Thank you! "
