Really disappointing portions, especially given the prices. Six small pieces of chicken cost almost $21, while another dish with five pieces of chicken plus an entire beef koobideh was $24. How does that pricing make sense?
The ghormeh sabzi was around $20 and also had very little meat. Across the meal, it felt like they were noticeably stingy with the protein while charging premium prices.
What made it especially disappointing is the name Maman Joon. A “Maman Joon” should evoke warmth, generosity, and Persian hospitality — the kind of meal where you’re worried you’ve been given too much food, not counting the pieces of meat on your plate."
