I ordered the Lamb Biryani and it was perfection. Flavorful, spiced well, generous portions of lamb layering the bottom of the tray, and enough for three-four meals (for one person). If you've eaten in, you know this place is a hole in the wall attached to a small grocery store. It reminds me of the places in Korea that are open for long hours and cater to cab drivers and folks working night shifts by offering wholesome meals for cheap and without any frills. This is exactly what you get with Shan's. No frills, delicious food that is going to fill you up without emptying your wallet. Highly recommend.

The "halee" was less than half the bowl when the price is over $16 and it was more like shredded chicken curry, no haleem flavor. Disappointed.

The 38. Karahi Gosht was absolutely delicious, really spicy and the meat was succulent. 43. Chicken Biryani was okay, the rice needed some more flavour meat was cooked well though.

The taste here varies a lot - but I love it. I try to eat more protein and less carbs - the portion size and proportion of chicken to rice is perfect for my diet. This is my frequent place to get tasty biryani multiple times in a week :)

if you want Halwa Puri don't go anywhere else. their 71. Yogurt is the absolute best, and 14. Saag is great too.
